K2 Superburnin 74 2014 Womens Skis With Bindings
The K2 Superburnin is even better than ever with the addition of ROX Technology to help dampen the ski and add control, whilst lightening the whole ski. A precise carving performer designed specifically for ladies who want to etch perfect turns into the firmest and steepest runs at resort with ease. For 2014 the Superburnin has had an overhaul to make what was already a best seller even better. The key feature is ROX Technology and this ski features SPEED ROX. FEATURES AND BENEFITS Rox Design - The Rox design can clearly be seen at the tip and the tail of the ski, and it acts to dampen the nose and tail, whilst giving progressive torsional stiffness. It also acts to support the rocker of the ski, and each ski length has a modified ROX design to get the best from the given ski length.
Carbon Webs - Carbon web runs through the ROX system which absorbs trail buzz keeping the nose super stable as you lay down fast turns and don’t have to worry about nose chatter. BioFlex 3 Full Wood Core – Underneath there is a women’s specific Bioflex wood core, with 3 densities of wood at the nose, the centre, and tail of the ski, to give the perfect blend of rebound, performance and light weight. Speed Rocker – 90% Traditional Camber with a 10% tip rocker for a stable nose and smooth turns with maximum and fastest edge engagement K2/Marker ERC System - The all-new K2/Marker women’s-specific ERC (Energy Response Contact) binding system is our widest ski binding system, with a 54% wider attachment. Thanks to zinc feet that extend toward the edges of the ski, the ERC
system delivers greater precision and control on the wider-waisted Super skis. In addition to being wider, the binding stand height has been reduced by 12%, adding almost 10% in weight savings. A fantastic ski, I have skied and owned various K2 Superburnin across 5 years now, and this I must say is the biggest change yet. The Superburnin was always targeted at expert piste skiers who want speed. However, it was perfectly adept under
the feet of good intermediates too, looking to advance. This has now changed though, and this ski clearly suits an advanced and expert skier now who can already carve, and wants to get maximum speed and edge hold. This ski demands more input than previously, but put that effort in and it delivers amazingly fast turns. A beautifully balanced performance ski, and still a favourite for me although I now have to work a bit harder :o)
