The Annex 98 is inspired by hard-charging, fall-line focused skiers seeking the best lines: in-bounds, on the border, in the trees, or just outside the gates & beyond. We have stocked K2 since we started the business & with the range & quality of their skis it is easy to see why.  Speak to any staff member & they own or would like to own at least one pair from the K2 range. This year K2 have added Ro X technology across a number of the women’s range to improve their edge hold & torsional stiffness in the tip as well as help vibration dampening. This was utilized in the men’s range last season with great response & is now spread out across more of their range.  This, combined with their new Baseline 2.0 technology has changed the performance of their women specific range & they have done this by using a new comprehensive build process where a skis top shape is redesigned to complement the side profile along the entire ski.  They have called this ‘ Baseline 2.0’ & K2 has managed to engineer skis for varied skier types & even different styles of skiing, while also finely tuning them for a specific snow condition. The Annex 98 is positioned at the frontline of the Freeride Fleet, the annex 98 is inspired by hard-charging, fall-line focused skiers seeking the best lines: in-bounds, on the border, in the trees, or just outside the gates & beyond.  These skis use the Baseline 2 Freeride construction.  With this the tip & taper increase with waist width.  The Profiles allow for predicable planing through soft & unpredictable snow with a low, long rise & all Terrain Rocker.  Underfoot the sidecuts are moderate to shallow for medium to longer turn shapes.  These skis draw Rocker all the way into the mid-body, resulting in less camber for predictable performance.  In the tail of these skins they are blunt with added taper for traditional hold through the turn.  The tail profile is flat & a small amount of Rocker for confidence & security in softer snow. - see recommendations below SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: All Conditions Ski Terrain: All mountain Skier Level:  Good Intermediate to Advanced   This ski was way better on piste than expected.  It was super responsive but still felt soft & responsive at the same time.  This is an ideal all mountain/ Freeride one ski quiver Is this for me? A really nice ski for the good intermediate to advanced skiers to move up into the Freeride category.  Thanks to its metal laminate this still remains really responsive so this has the width underfoot to sit up in powder, yet the stiffness to offer great response on piste.  This means that those of you who have been on 80mm skis for the last few years & are looking to progress but do not want to lose any hard pack performance then this is a really nice option.

The K2 Back Track is a light weight womens touring ski. Thanks to its narrow waist it gives great grip whilst skinning. However they are still capable of giving a solid performance on the descent. Technology Snophobic Topsheet Since snow collecting on the ski can add pounds to a climb, our Sno Phobic tops keep you light with a new snow-repellent topsheet. The running surface along the bottom of a ski is hydrophobic by design, so we’ve developed a thinner version of the same material to use on the Back Side model-specific topsheets. Triaxial  Braid The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski. Torsion Box Torsion Box construction is the foundation for the widest range of skis designed by K2. Depending on the

Dimensions of a ski, & the amount of flex & torsion designed into it, one model of a Torsion Box ski can differ greatly from another. The versatility in the construction enables us to build everything from entry-level through expert skis. While there will be significant differences between skis, they do share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, & energy that can be found in all Torsion Box skis. Skin Grommets The new freeride tip & tail grommets are a clean, simple design that no longer requires a plug. The durable rubber coating disguises a slit designed to accommodate both the Z clip for our skin attachments, & the components to build a rescue sled. Z-Clip A secure, self-centering attachment that reduces weight & allows for quick transitions on the ascent.   Ski

The Bright lite combines a forgiving flex with the versatile & easy-going ‘ All Terrain Baseline’ profile. So whether you are looking to master piste riding or get into the deep off-piste powder, the Bright Lite is the board that will aid your progression. Specification: Profile: All Terrain (Rocker, flat, Rocker) Running length: 116.76 Waist

Width:
24.2 Sidecut radius: 7.5 Setback: ¾ inch Flex: Not specified (Specification based on the 149cm board) Note: Base graphic colours may vary

Features:
Designed to excel all over the mountain, the All Terrain Baseline profile has a large flat zone that extends past the binding inserts straight into the rise at the nose & tail. With a medium rise at the nose & lower rise at the tail this directional profile allows for effortless turns on hardpack but also floats through the soft stuff.   With a sidewall that extends along the effective edge & flows into in the nose & tail Hybritech construction provides the benefits of low swing-weight, optimised turn initiation & durability. An All Mountain Hyper Progressive sidecut is an infinite blend of different radius designed to be responsive at high speeds but smooth enough for slower turns on mellow terrain. Three species of renewable wood run tip-to-tail to make up the W2 Rhythm Core. This construction provides optimised strength, weight reduction & dampening without additional materials. A construction using a Biax/ Biax Glass laminate provides smooth all-purpose performance. 2000 Extruded Base is both fast & durable whilst also being easy to maintain & repair. Designed with progression in mind the Bright Lite seems to fill a gap that not many other boards can fill. It has a free-ride shape without the free-ride price tag & is beginner friendly without being limiting. The directional profile, 19mm set-back & flat/rocker profile make the Bright Lite an obvious choice for a powder day while the forgiving flex & kind-on-the-wallet price make it perfect as a first board. Is it for me? For beginner to advanced riders, the Bright Lite will suit all but the most aggressive of female snowboarders. If you see yourself as more ‘powder’ than ‘park’, whether that’s now or in the future then you should buy the Bright Lite.

The A.M.P. Series cover the broadest range of snow conditions. These skis include technologies & binding systems designed to quiet the ride & maximize control.  Each ski is designed with the ‘perfect turn’ in mind, so the construction, shape & profile is specifically engineered to match the skier type & condition & results in more perfect turns with less effort every time you hit the slopes.   The K2 Charger is made for expert-level skiers who charge the steepest firmest terrain.  Its Speed Rocker gives you an added level of precision & accuracy as you transition from turn to turn, & the Hybritech Metal Laminate construction creates an unshakable ski when you are at high speed.  If the challenge of linking textbook turns on rock hard snow at mach-speed is what you are after, the charger is up for the challenge.   Specification: 122/74/106 Performance: Groomed 70%: Ungroomed 30% Radius: 16m at 174cm Construction: Metal Laminate – Hybritech Sidewall Core: Aspen/ Paulownia Bindings: Not included. See offers below. Features Core: Aspen is a solid & dense wood  and is known for its inherent strength & durability, while  Paulownia is an eco-friendly, fast growing renewable wood that is incredibly strong & lightweight.  Integrated Hub Technology: Titanal hubs are imbedded into the core of the ski for the most direct transmission of power.  The system hubs are functionally wider with a 50mm footprint, which decreases the distance between the binding & the edge of the ski for added performance. Mod Technology:  high-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations & impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold & a higher degree of power & control.  Mod is a secondary core that flexes & moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. The optimum location & thickness of mass differs from men to women.  The men’s Mod structure is more X-Shaped, distributing mass to the perimeter for increased edge-hold.  The thickest part of the Mod structure in the fore body

a new technology window. Mod Monic:  A Focused Mass Dampener; The Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at the targeted location. The men’s Mod Monic is slightly heavier & X-Shaped to further complement the Mod structure form. Metal Laminate:  Built with two sheets of lightweight Tiitanal running the length of the ski, metal-laminate skies are the highest performing & most complex construction available from K2.  Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fibreglass & Titanal above & below the wood core.  Metal-laminates provides dampened, accurate, unshakable performance ideal for expert-level skiers. Hybritech Sidewalls:  Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall & cap contractions.  The construction combines the accuracy, power & performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics & smooth turn initiation of cap construction. Speed Rocker: Designed for firm snow. This slightly elevated tip & increased tip length provides effortless initiation & flawless transitions between turns, while camber along the rest of the running surface delivers the mist precision, power & edge-hold of any rocker category.
