The all new Annex 98 is designed for hard-charging skiers looking to shred top-to-bottom runs down the fall line, whether in-bounds or just outside the ropes. K2 have revamped there all-mountain & Freeride collections.  They have slimmed down their range making ski selection much easier & have focussed on building a versatile range designed to encounter a variety of conditions & terrain.  They have skis that offer skiers the option to select a model that matches their individual style & where they ski on the mountain whilst not becoming confusing. For 2013/14 they have been working very hard with their professional athletes to really push the boundaries of the sport & have increased the use of their ROX technology, & have created a all-Terrain Ro X variation & women specific for unmatched performance in any condition found in resort.  This integrates their X shaped mod structure with a carbon web, offering unshakable hold & effortless turn.  With K2 combining these new technologies with their proven Triaxial Braid & Hybritech sidewalls you are now getting the best technologies integrated into skis that offer great response & superb edge hold on a stylish & versatile ski. The Annex range of skis for K2 incorporate the 98, 108 & 118mm waists & this range fall into the Freeride directional category.    Incredibly versatile these would appeal to any seasonnaires or seasoned professional looking for a great one ski quiver.

Specification Sidecut:  131mm-98mm-119mm Radius: 23 Metres (For 177cm Length) Base Profile:   All Terrain Rocker Ski Core:    Aspen / Paulownia / Maple Bindings: Ski Only Features & benefits   Z-Clip skin compatible These are holes at the tip & tail to allow for easy fitting of pre-cut skins designed specifically for these skis.   The skis come with Skin Grommets, these are a clean & simple design that no longer requires a plug.  The durable rubber coating disguises a slit designed to accommodate the Zclip for their skin attachments, or to build a rescue sled! Tapered Tip & Tail All Freeride skis come with a tapered tip design & lower profile to maximise tip predictability in softer snow conditions.  Tips with this design have shifted the widest part of the contact further back to reduce tip weight & deflection in soft & variable snow conditions. Powder Tip The widest point of a powder tip is 7cm back from the standard contact point. The design adds stability & predictability while skiing & is less likely to hook or grab in light crusts or variable conditions. All Terrain Rocker (Designed for all ability levels with added versatility & ease in all snow conditions.  All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable & soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy & edge-hold in firmer conditions.)   Aspen / Paulownia / Maple Ski Core (K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound & a liveliness only found in wood core skis, utilizing Aspen & Paulownia & maple allows them to keeps the weight down, whilst still offering great rebound & power) SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: hardpack / powder Ski Terrain: All Mountain Skier Level: Intermediate/ Advanced / Expert IS IT FOR ME? This is ideal for the fast charging skier who doesn’t want to look at the piste map & just head out onto the mountain crossing pistes & the fresh powder between them

The Annex 98 is inspired by hard-charging, fall-line focused skiers seeking the best lines: in-bounds, on the border, in the trees, or just outside the gates & beyond. We have stocked K2 since we started the business & with the range & quality of their skis it is easy to see why.  Speak to any staff member & they own or would like to own at least one pair from the K2 range. This year K2 have added Ro X technology across a number of the women’s range to improve their edge hold & torsional stiffness in the tip as well as help vibration dampening. This was utilized in the men’s range last season with great response & is now spread out across more of their range.  This, combined with their new Baseline 2.0 technology has changed the performance of their women specific range & they have done this by using a new comprehensive build process where a skis top shape is redesigned to complement the side profile along the entire ski.  They have called this ‘ Baseline 2.0’ & K2 has managed to engineer skis for varied skier types & even different styles of skiing, while also finely tuning them for a specific snow condition. - see recommendations below SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: All Conditions Ski Terrain: All mountain Skier Level:  Good Intermediate to Advanced   This ski was way better on piste than expected.  It was super responsive but still felt soft & responsive at the same time.  This is an ideal all mountain/ Freeride one ski quiver Is this for me? A really nice ski for the good intermediate to advanced skiers to move up into the Freeride category.  Thanks to its metal laminate this still remains really responsive so this has the width underfoot to sit up in powder, yet the stiffness to offer great response on piste.  This means that those of you who have been on 80mm skis for the last few years & are looking to progress but do not want to lose any hard pack performance then this is a really nice option.

The Back Lite is designed for the ski tourer focused on efficiency. Our lightweight wood core has clear weight advantages when climbing, but unlike featherweight rando race skis, it provides more power & precision when skiing frozen corn or difficult windblown. Last, the narrow 74mm waist provides exceptional skin purchase when touring on firm snow. Technology Torsion Box Torsion Box construction is the foundation for the widest range of skis designed by K2. Depending on the

Dimensions of a ski, & the amount of flex & torsion designed into it, one model of a Torsion Box ski can differ greatly from another. The versatility in the construction enables us to build everything from entry-level through expert skis. While there will be significant differences between skis, they do share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, & energy that can be found in all Torsion Box skis. Carbon Web Enveloping the Mod structure with a carbon weave where the strands of carbon are laid at precise angles for an additional level of torsional rigidity on the secondary core. This keeps the ski light but gives you the additional torsional strength where you need it most. Skin Grommets The new freeride tip & tail grommets are a clean, simple design that no longer requires a plug. The durable rubber coating disguises a slit designed to accommodate both the Z clip for our skin attachments, & the components to build a rescue sled. Cap Construction Durable & lightweight “cap” skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core & internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis’ performance. Snophobic Topsheet Since snow collecting on the ski can add pounds to a climb, our Sno Phobic tops keep you light with a new snow-repellent topsheet. The running surface along the bottom of a ski is hydrophobic by design, so we’ve developed a thinner version of the same material to use on the Back Side model-specific topsheets. Z-Clip A secure, self-centering attachment that reduces weight & allows for quick transitions on the ascent. Ski
