With so many fancy & complicated ‘ Reverse-Triple-Camber-Banana-Rocker-Profiles’ available, & each one claiming to have found the ‘sweet spot’, a common complaint often heard from real snowboarders, is that they just want a normal snowboard.  Like the one they learned on. Like the one you learned on, & like the one I learned on. Features: The  Full Poplar Wood Core is responsive & reliable, irregularities & knots will not make it passed the Capita QC team so you can rest assured that the flex is uniform & consistent along the whole board. Traditional Camber works. By placing the length of the board between your inserts under continual pressure, the board is always preloaded & ready to react to your every input. HMC (High Molecular Composition) Extruded Bases are denser, stronger & more abrasive resistant than regular extruded bases. Carbon Rods reinforce the length of the board to improve stability & responsiveness while maintaining flexibility & torsional flexibility of the board, extending the lifespan of the core in the process.   I love ‘traditional camber’ boards (I own 3).  In fact I am not a fan of the term ‘ Traditional’ as I think that there is as much place for this shape profile now, as there has ever been. Features: Zero Camber is flat from contact point to contact point. The result is a longer effective edge than that of a rocker profile but with a looser feel than you get from camber. Vertically laminated strips of poplar wood make up the SS Select Core. There are no irregularities in the grain or finger joints which allows for a consistent & uniform flex throughout the board. Kevlar is one of the strongest & most durable materials available & carbon remains one of the most responsive & lightweight. The combined use of Kevlar & carbon in the 2x 20mm Carbon + Kevlar X which is positioned in the middle of the board in an X shape improves underfoot stability whilst allowing for a forgiving flex in the nose & tail. To improve durability in key break zones Black Fleece is used. This black glass increases strength & reduces the chance of board failure. Extruded bases are both durable & easy to maintain which is ideal if you aren’t one for waxing your board regularly. The XXX (truded) Base is subjected to higher temperatures & more pressure during manufacture than regular extruded bases which further increases the surface hardness.   I think it’s impossible not to have a good time riding this board. Come to think of it I haven’t ridden a zero camber board that I didn’t like. What I like about boards like the Outdoor Living is that the entire edge & contacts points are ready to engage the moment you want them to but are super forgiving if you get your balance wrong on landing or mid butter. Is it for me? Not only is it ideal for the park rats out there who want to slide, bonk, jump & spin everything that stands in their way, but the Outdoor Living would make an ideal board for the improving snowboarder that wants a confidence inspiring board that turns easily at slow speeds & is virtually catch free.
