The C.Slasher works really well all over the resort but really comes into its own in powder. The zero camber (flat) section running through the middle and tail of the board
retains power for slashing and stomping landings. Flat Kick is the shape given to the profile of the nose and tail. Most boards have a gradual curve from the contact points to the tip/tail. Capita found that while that works well with a traditional camber profile, it does not work so well with the raised contact points of a reverse camber profile. Flat Kick essentially adds responsiveness and speed to edge-to-edge turning. Capita have added an ABS sidewall to the centre of a pull poplar core to create the Touring Core + ABS. This addition would allow you to split the board down the middle, turning it into a touring splitboard, without risking water damage to the core. Rather than applying resin by hand in the manufacturing process, Capita use a mechanized dispensing system to ensure
a consistent application and eliminate the chance of dry spots which can lead to de-lamination. In addition they apply fibreglass to the top and bottom of the core to reduce the risk of water damage. Custom Weave Fiberglass Configuration increases the performance of the resin and fibreglass which allows for a decrease in the thickness of the wood core. The result is reduced weight without the loss of performance. Running through the board from the tip of the nose to just past the front inserts are 2x30mm Carbon Fibre Beams.
