Zalman have updated their premium low-profile cooler, CNPS8000A. The new CNPS8000B now has a 92mm PWM fan & offers better performance than its predecessor. Because CPUs are getting hotter & hotter, we have seen heatsinks getting bigger & bigger to cope with the cooling demands. The problem with very large heatsinks is that they sometimes cannot be used in a lower profile chassis where space is at a premium. Zalman have successfully addressed this problem with the CNPS8000b without sacrificing performance. 1. Noiseless & vibration-free in silent mode, from 20d B 2. It does this with the aid of four C-shaped heatpipes that transfer the heat from the copper base to the top edge of the fins. This allows the whole heatsink to be used more efficiently. Attached above the heatsink is a legendary Zalman 92mm PWM fan which has been designed to vary its speed depending on the temperature of the CPU. The minimum noise is only 20 d BA, but when the CPU is pushed to its limit, the fan speed can increase to provide more cooling. Of course this works in reverse; the fan speed will decrease as the temperature of the CPU drops. This method gives the user piece of mind knowing that when the CPU needs it, extra cooling is provided.

The Zalman CNPS9X Optima offers a whopping 180 watts TDP despite its compact design. In combination with the enclosed thermal grease ZM-STG2M, this is sufficient even for the fastest Intel & AMD processors. Thanks to the four copper heatpipes running through the base plate, the heat quickly reaches the aluminum fins, through which a direct-fitting, quiet 120 mm fan with white LEDs removes the air. Zalman FX100 Ultimate Fanless CPU Cooler Zalmans innovative new FX100 CPU cooler is designed to utilise natural convection where the heatsink passively transfers the heat to its surroundings. The hot air is then exhausted out of the chassis with the help of chassis fans or via natural convection through the top of a suitable case.
