Step aboard a high speed RIB for what will be a tour like no other. With speeds approaching 50mph youll experience the exhilaration of surging across the waves & seeing the sights of Portsmouths famous harbour. Youll see the historic harbour & naval docks followed by a scenic blast around the Napoleonic Forts & in the distance youll see the Spinnaker Tower. This tower soars over the whole of Gunwharf Quays & youll take a visit to the top viewing platform, 170 metres high. From up here you can trace your recent trip around the locations of the Solent & give yourself a fright by looking down through the amazing glass floor. Or you can simply enjoy a coffee at the cafeteria whilst marvelling at the breath-taking views of the Isle of Wight & beyond. On your arrival you will be welcomed by the staff who will ask you to sign in, & will then familiarise you with the experience. You will then be introduced to your skipper & issued with life jackets & waterproofs as required. The skipper will take the group down to the pontoons where a pre-boarding safety brief will be given. After familiarisation with the vessel, it will be ropes off & youll depart Gunwharf Quay for a brief tour of Portsmouths harbour before heading out into the Solent. Youll weave amongst the Napoleonic stone forts that span the Solent before heading north. Then its back to the fortified harbour mouth at Old Portsmouth & finally home at Gunwharf Quays where youll disembark. To finish youll head to the Spinnaker Tower, where youll be whisked by a high speed lift to the three levels of viewing platforms to view the far off points of the Solent where you have just been ploughing through the waves! The minimum age for this activity is 12 years old, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. The minimum height for participants is 1.52m (5ft) The maximum weight for participants is 108kg (17 stone). As much as people love fish, many of us lack the confidence to deal with both the preparation required & how best to cook it. Using a variety of fish you will practice core knife skills & explore a range of cooking methods whilst paying particular attention to the pairing of flavours. The result

Programme After a warm welcome on arrival, you will meet your expert cookery teacher who will talk you through the days programme & what you will be cooking during your lesson. Then it will be your turn to get your apron on & get cooking. What you cook on the day depends on the location you choose, but generally you will cover cooking fresh crabs, filleting round & flat fish, preparing fish stocks & classic fish based sauces, cooking muscles & preparing your own lobster. At the end you will either be able to sit down & sample what you have made over a relaxed meal with the other attendees or take it away to enjoy later. The exact format varies depending on the cookery school & class chosen. Duration This experience will last between 3 & 5 hours. Group There will be a maximum of 20 people in your group.
