If you have a passion for Asian food, but dont know your cardamom from your cumin or your galangal from your garam masala, then this cookery course is ideal for you. You can try one of two different styles of Asian food; Indian or Sushi. The classes are designed to give people the confidence to work with the different herbs & spices usually associated with Asian cuisine & extend their range & knowledge of making everyday Asian food, with an emphasis on healthy eating & food awareness. Classes are kept small, giving you the opportunity to have hands on experience in a relaxed & fun atmosphere with lots of tips on general cooking & one to one time with the chef. The experience begins with a comprehensive spice trail which looks at the various herbs & spices used in cooking & their medicinal values & properties to be able to understand why certain food groups work with others. You will then roll up your sleeves & try your hand at preparing starters & canapes & making a number of main dishes throughout the class. At lunchtime you will sit down with your fellow classmates to enjoy an informal lunch of what you have made during the monring, accompanied by a glass of wine, where you can discuss your new found culinary skills.
