D-Links 10-port Third Generation Gigabit Smart Po E Switch is designed to provide small to medium businesses complete control over their network. In a 13" metal case with innovative fanless design, the switch incorporates a complete lineup of Layer 2 features, including Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree, Link Aggregation & IGMP Snooping. Network maintenance features include Loopback Detection & Cable Diagnostics. Eight of the 10 switch ports include Power over Ethernet (Po E), which gives administrators the ability to connect 802.3at pre-standard equipment such as 802.11n wireless Access Points, in parallel with standard 802.3af equipment. The Po E function is programmable, so you can cut your energy bill by switching the power off at certain times. The DGS-1210-10P features state-of-the-art security technologies including ACL filtering & 802.1X authentication. With D-Link Safeguard Engine, the switch remains available in the event of a virus outbreak. Furthermore, the DGS-1210-10P uses Auto Voice VLAN, ensuring higher priority for voice traffic. Quality of Service (Qo S) & granular bandwidth control down to 64 kbps are also included. A characteristic of D-Links web Smart Switches is their ease of use, via a simple web browser. Advanced users can also configure the switch via Telnet or SNMP package such as D-Links D-View 6.0. D-Links Smart Console utility is also included for the joint management of several switches. The DGS-1210-10P is D-Link Green certified, for the energy savings that it provides without sacrificing operational performance or functionality.
