A truly ingenious
jacquard in which a great
white shark, shown in
three-quarters view,
emerges, menacingly from
the fine stripe blue and
white ground, or should
I say 'depths'. Drifting
serenely there is also a
dolphin, seen side-on.
Perhaps there will be a
confrontation? I don't
know. I think dolphins
are quite good at warding
off sharks. Anyway,
jacquard, as you know,
is a pattern formed in
the weave and I just love
how the illusion of 3D
shark has been achieved
here. The shirt is lined
at the collar, plaquet
and cuffs with a
different broad striped
design featuring the
silhouettes of diving
whales. Single button
