A fruit-filled red Burgundy, from Louis Latours Clos Chameroy winery, just north of Beaune. Only 20% of the wine has been fermented in oak for added complexity without sacrificing purity of fruit. Menthol-like notes on the nose contribute to the fresh & uplifting character, & the soft-edged but persistent redcurrant fruit lingers on the palate. Will continue to improve over the next couple of years, but drinking very well at the moment.
