of series SX-500-1033 you
can merge serial devices
in the network without
cable and share. The
Wireless model offers
802.11b/g-
WLAN-connectivity also.
By the provided serial
port emulator software,
the device can be
integrated easily into
existing applications of
PCs.
The SX-500-1033 Serial
server is equipped with
important safety
functions: access control
lists, configuration
password protection as
well as the configuration
of SNMP community names.
The Wireless model offers
the
802.1x-authentification
system EAP with TLS,
TTLS, LEAP, PEAP or
FAST. It offers open
system or shared key
support with WEP
encryption. Moreover,
WPA (WPA-PSK) and
Enterprise operation
ensures under application
of the improved coding
method WPA2 with TKIP and
AES, for highest
security.
The housing consists of
robust, zinc-coated
steel of the enclosure
IP40, which corresponds
to the industrial
regulations. Lateral
assembly flanges allows
installation on

surfaces. The serial
port of the device has an
electrostatic voltage
stability of max. 15 kV.
In addition the
integrated Browser
interface offers SILEX
ExtendView, a Windows
service program for
simple configuring and

compatible with SNMP,
i.e. it is compatible
with usual network
administrative systems.
With the provided serial
port emulator software,
virtual serial
connections can be
configured on a Windows
system (e.g. COM3),
which reroute all data on
the SILEX Serial server
in the network, and
gives you the possibility
to use your current
applications continue
uninterrupted.
