With the C-6600GB Canon multi-printer & Canon document scanner can be easily integrated into the LAN (wired Local Area Network) system. Like the entire C-series of SILEX the C-6600GB was also developed in close cooperation with Canon. In this way, all the functions of the Canon printer can be used via the network
- as if it were connected locally.

The C-6600GB has a Gigabit Ethernet connection. The device supports along with gigabit (1000 Mbit) of course the standards with 10 or 100 Mbit.

With the C-6600GB a Canon-USB (Universal Serial Bus)- or -multifunction printer can be shared with the colleagues or family members via the operating or domestic network.

Network printing, network scanning, use of memory cards & use of PC-fax function via the network
The C-6600GB provides all the functions of the compatible Canon-devices via the network.

By device server functions also support for Mac OS
To be able to use your Canon printer, document scanner or other USB (Universal Serial Bus) devices even under Mac OS, the C-6600GB has a device server function. Thus the device works in connection with the software SX Virtual Link as the device server. You can connect via the network & use your USB (Universal Serial Bus) device as if it is locally connected. This function is of course also available from Windows. Configuration of this setting is possible via the web interface.

Maximizes the productivity of the scanner
With the help of the C-6600GB parts, several users can share a high-quality Canon document scanner via in the network. The C-6600GB provides scanner also for virtual machines (VM). The software SX Virtual Link allows the requirement of a scanner, that is already used by another user. If required, the connection will be disconnected automatically.
