LOCATION The cottage is on Crowthers Hill (steep in places), just 5-7 minutes or so walk from Dartmouth's boutiques, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as the picturesque River Dart. Blackpool Sands beach is just a 5-10 minute drive away whilst Woodlands Theme Park is just 3 miles outside of Dartmouth.VIEWS Lovely views from most rooms over and across the town towards Dartmouth Naval College and the River Dart.ENTRANCE The cottage is accessed directly from Crowthers Hill - the front door leads into a tiled lobby/hallway with level access to the accommodation on this floor. SHOWER ROOM Off the hallway is a mostly tiled family shower room with corner shower unit, narrow window seat, w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point. KITCHEN Also on the ground floor is a very
well equipped, contemporary kitchen presented to a high standard with a range of stylish cream units and black granite worktops. Appliances include a four-ring halogen hob, eye level double oven, grill and microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Travertine tiled flooring with under-floor heating.SITTING/DINING ROOM The kitchen opens out into a sitting/dining area at the rear of the cottage. The sitting area is tastefully furnished with a rattan double sofa and chair, TV, DVD player and iPod docking unit. The dining area has a good-sized wooden table seating six comfortably. A set of folding French doors (that can be fully opened and drawn back on a sunny day) lead out to the decked balcony with steps down to the garden. The sitting room also has underfloor
heating.LOUNGE On the first floor is a light and sunny lounge with French doors opening out to a Juliet balcony overlooking the town and River Dart. The room is comfortably furnished with two large sofas, leather chair and window seat with a sneaky peak of the river and across to Kingswear between houses. Widescreen wall-mounted television. BEDROOMS Three in total. On the first floor is a good sized en suite double bedroom with King-size wooden bed, bedside units, built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers and lovely views. En suite shower room with shower cubicle, w.c. and wash-hand basin On the second floor are two further bedrooms. An en suite double room is beautifully furnished with King-size metal-framed bed, chaise longue, bedside unit and chest of drawers (on adjacent landing).
Elegant en suite bathroom with Victorian slipper bath (with hand-held shower), w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point. A further twin room has two wooden framed single beds, built-in wardrobe, bedside unit and very pleasant views. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding those for the beach) are provided.OUTSIDE From the sitting room large folding French doors open out onto a wooden balcony with superb views. Steps lead down to an area of garden with mature trees, shrubs and bedding plants, as well as a good sized area of decking with rattan garden furniture.PARKING Garage available at the cottage for small/medium sized car. Jawbones Hill.OTHER INFORMATION Mostly travertine tiled flooring on the ground floor with carpets in all bedrooms. Gas fired central heating and instant hot water via combi boiler (plus electric under-floor heating in the kitchen). Strictly no smoking or pets permitted. Please be aware that children under 5 years of age are not permitted at Starfish Cottage due to the stairs inside the property and leading to the garden. N.B. Wireless broadband internet available.
