Sure Flap is a revolutionary battery-powered cat flap which reads your cat´s pet chip & only unlocks if it recognises the unique identification number. A pet chip is a tiny glass tube with a microchip which contains a unique identification number. This chip is implanted under your cat´s skin & the identification number is entered on a database together with the pet´s name & your address. A vet can then use a microchip reader to identify the owner of the pet. If your cat has not been microchipped you can also use the Microchip Cat Flap with a RFID collar tag. These collar tags can be purchased separately & are not included as part of the cat flap delivery. Sure Flap cat flap is compatible with all common microchip types & will work with your cat´s existing microchip. It is very easy to programme with just one press of the button & you can programme in up to 32 different chip numbers so it is perfect for multi pet homes. The programmed numbers work like electronic door keys & once programmed the Sure Flap cat flap will only unlock if it recognises the chip identification number. Stray cats or other unwelcome visitors must stay outside. The unique design means that the flap cannot be forced open. When your cat comes up to the flap sensors detect the cat´s head. The antenna transmits the chip number & the flap unlocks for all numbers in the memory. The antenna has a good read range so even if the chip has slipped the sensor will easily find it. After a fraction of a second the Sure Flap opens inwards. It closes automatically a few seconds after your cat gone through the tunnel. The Sure Flap also has an easy-to-use manual 4-way locking system which can be activated if the chip recognition is not functioning correctly. The Sure Flap microchip cat flap is easy to install & will fit into existing gap from many other cat flaps. An optional window adapter can be purchased separately for installation in windows. or for covering larger holes. You will find detailed installation instructions in the user manual. Important Please check the construction of your door before ordering The Sure Flap cat flap is easy to install in any kind of door. If your door has a metal plate please follow the specific instructions for ´ Installation in Metal Doors´ since metal can influence the performance of the Sure Flap occasionally reducing the range of the microchip reader. However if installed correctly it should not pose a problem.
