A consistent left back, Trollope went on a run of 368 consecutive matches which was finally brought to an end in August 1968 when he broke his arm in a match at Hartlepool. Swindon Town 1974-1975 Retro Football Club. During the 1970s Swindon changed the badge to what became known as the "ST arrow" or "traffic sign" badge. Swindon Town moved into the football league (div 3) in 1920. Having earned their league status, the club nearly lost itin 1933, 1956 and 1957 and had to apply for re-election to the league.
