It supports a data rate of up to 5 Gbps as well as a quick charge port allowing you to rapidly charge devices that support quick charging. The quick charge port is dedicated to charging only this port cannot be used for data transfer. While this is a powered USB (Universal Serial Bus) hub it will work without a power supply at a reduced rate & the quick charge port wont work.
