Luckily the prototype was uncovered during a rigorous spring clean and it has been lovingly brought to life by the brand's current designers for 2013. Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 project with Adidas may go down in history as one of the most successful collaborations of all time. Through intelligent material choices and a deliberately uncomplicated design, Y-3 communicate a thoroughly premium aesthetic which anybody can appreciate. Following on from the highly successful Adidas Originals by Originals collection, the folk at Adidas have once again utilised the design talents of Kazuki Kuraishi this time in association with possibly the biggest snowboarding company in the world, Burton Snowboards.  The footwear collection is simply stunning and produced perfectly for the rigours of the autumn/winter period. Perhaps our personal favourite, the Vulc Mid KZK is a stripped-down-then-rebuilt version of a classic Mid Chukka Boot. Produced for this collection using a premium colour tonal suede upper, the famous three side stripes have been given the perforation treatment, with the woven toe box detailing adding to the overall stunning look of the shoe. Kazuki has also added hiking inspired detailing such as D-Ring lace loops and not forgetting the zippered heel, a now somewhat signature touch of the Kazuki himself. These are for winter remember and Kazuki has provided us with a welcomed surprise in the shape of a warm and comfortable Sherpa Fleece lining. You surely cant ask for much more than this!!  As to be expected with the Adidas x B.Snowboards collection, distribution is extremely tight with limited numbers released in each style.

For this one however, the Japanese outfit have chosen to keep things simple and instead took the OG version and put their own subtle spin on it. They feature a unique mesh printed cork footbed and a slightly less hairy suede than the original issue. Highly limited release.
Based on a style first introduced in 1972, Norse Projects have re-worked the classic Pro-Keds Royal Master shoe to premium effect. Utilising their minimal styling, they have replaced the traditional canvas upper with a premium pigskin suede with a beautiful tan leather heel post.
For added effect, they have also given the Royal Master a stunning cork insole. Very slick and luxurious, these are gonna be big hitters and with limited numbers produced, won't be around for long!!
Carhartt & Diemme share many of the same core values and furthermore both come from rugged upbringings, regarding craftsmanship and quality above all else. It seems perfectly natural then, that the two should come together and create a collaborative product. The 'Marostica Low' is an outdoor inspired silhouette that's well equipped to make an easy transition between different environments. It's hard wearing canvas and suede upper is complemented perfectly by the equally strong rubber sole and the whole affair is rounded off appropriately by tough metal eyelets. Continuing their established partnership adidas have again teamed up with Kazuki Kuraishi to create the '84-Lab' for Spring & Summer '13. Inspired by activities such as hunting, polo and horse-riding, it is a wholesome collection that sees some innovative renditions of classic adidas silhouettes. The 'National Tennis' is an intriguing silhouette that seems to straddle some of the brand's most successful footwear components. Making use of canvas, patent leather and a brick red sole it is an interesting silhouette which is sure to be coveted seasons from now.

The Gazelle OG is in our eyes, one of the greatest silhouettes ever. Not just by Adidas but by any brand. Slim, low and minimal it is designed to gel well with anything thanks to it's intentionally clean appearance. A universally recognised classic since 1968 seen here in a versatile leather.
The adidas SLVR Buckle Run shoes are a modern update on the summer sneaker. The shoe's neoprene upper features cutout detailing, an elastic strap with buckle closure, adiPRENE+ in the forefoot for comfort and an EVA heel cap for cushioning performance.
The 'Wardour Max 1' is a rugged adaption of the iconic Air Max 1 silhouette. With a slightly higher profile that retains the same sole unit, you can see where the inspiration comes from but still appreciate it's unique aesthetic. This particular edition features a combination of heavy canvas and suede with a dash of colour to the sole and tongue tab. Unlike previous issues, Nike have done away with the D-Ring eyelets and opted for regular lace holes. This gives the shoe more summer relevance as it looks less like a winter hiking boot than it previously did.
Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 project with Adidas may go down in history as one of the most successful collaborations of all time. For now however, we're just going to put our Y3 covered feet up and enjoy it. The 'Sprint Trainers' reference classic sportswear and twist and re-interpret it fit for the modern market. Through intelligent material choices and a deliberately uncomplicated design, Y-3 communicate a thoroughly premium aesthetic which anybody can appreciate.

The basis behind the shoe is re-creating the famous Authentic using the premium materials used in suit tailoring. This version comes in a fetching Steel Grey upper on a classic white vulcanised outsole with all the usual subtle Vans branding.
Part of the Team GB Archive collection, the mens adidas Gazelle Indoor shoe takes an authentic one-to-one reissue of a low-top sneaker icon and gets it ready for the 2012 Olympics with Team GB colours and details like the Union Jack on the back of the heel.
