The Skid Pan training uses only the latest techniques & skills as used from Motorsport instructors & Police Driving. You will drive a normal unmodified family car under the instruction of a fully experienced championship winning race or rally driver. The cars are fitted with special low grip tyres to be driven on a clean water skid pan area, which has been proven to be the most realistic method of learning skid control techniques. Imagine finding yourself in a skid & losing control of your vehicle at 30mph or even at 70mph! This is your chance to LEARN real (potentially lifesaving) skills to help you handle difficult or unexpected slippery conditions in normal road driving. The full day course consists of half a day of Skid pan & a half day on the road with a DSA Approved Instructor learning Advanced Road Skills. This popular course combines the two important skill areas of skid control & hazard avoidance into one day. By the end of it, your confidence & abilities behind the wheel will have moved on to a new level! Learn some vital skid control skills along with a thrilling driving experience in the super fast Ariel Atom supercar. This driving experience is a great combination of thrills & skills making an ideal gift for any petrol head looking for something a bit more challenging than the average driving experience. After arriving at the venue you will receive a full introduction & safety briefing. You will then get a demonstration & skid control briefing from your instructor before driving two sessions on the skid pan area. Skid Pan Skills: Master the basics of car control including under steer & over steer. A great one off experience is this static line parachute jump.  With the static line (sl) method the parachute is deployed by a static line secured to a strong point within the aircraft.  Progression to freefall is possible on later jumps. All parachutes used are of the Ram Air design & all reserves are fitted with automatic activation devices. Round parachutes are no longer used by this supplier. The SL Course requires a minimum of 6 hours instruction. Courses normally last a full day allowing for coffee, lunch & tea breaks  in between & normally take place on the, with the jump normally taking place the next day weather permitting.  Occasionally during the lighter summer evenings jumps may be undertaken on the day of the course.
