The vines, ageing from 30-50 years, are planted with 69% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre, 7% Carignan, 3% Cinsault & 3% Caladoc. Handpicking ensures that only the best fruit is retained. The fruit destined for the Gigondas Costvieille is selected from special vineyard parcels & spends 15 months in new & older barriques. The grapes for the Vacqueyras comes from a specific parcel called Pavane where the vines have an average age of 35 years.
