Rich & balanced showing lifted fruit aromas of pepper, plum, dark cherry & chocolate. The palate is long with fruit sweetness balanced by fine oak tannins. A disease free ripening season combined with dry warm weather allowed perfect ripening of the fruit. Harvested early March at 14.5 ? Be, the grapes were crushed & fermented before pressing & transferring to French & American oak for maturation. After 14 months the wine was blended & bottled for further maturation prior to release.
