A dash of the red grape Syrah highlights the pungent Savvy fruit with the fragrance of summer. The unity of fruit from both the Awatere & Wairau Valleys gives our Sauvignon Blanc wonderful breath of character. After a glorious autumn we harvested leisurely until the last week of April. This intense Sauvignon Blanc gains a new flair from the small dash of the red grape Syrah. Singing with a flourish of new season’s strawberries on the nose, delicate berry notes cascade over the palate & gently charm the surge of gooseberry & kiwifruit. Balancing the fine, zesty acidity the soft Syrah fruit adds flavour length & texture. With lovely fruit intensity & a very long finish this is a great aperitif to partner with aromatic seafood curries & good conversation.
