Moscato, with other vines from Piedmont, is matured in wooden casks for a long period & then it is refined in Madeira island barrels for some months. These barrels had been previously used to maturing ' Madeira' of the most prestigious wineries. This particularly kind of passage, already tried for whiskey, & experimented by Sibona Distillery on grappa, has proven to be exceptional as regards to grappa's quality results. Its involving & fruity bouquet & unique flavour, rich & elegant with a floral aftertaste, recall those of Madeira.
