Colour: Rich gold. Nose: Complex with hints of vanilla. Palate: Smooth, medium balanced with fruit, oak & spice. Finish: Long with sweet dried fruits, oak & spice. When matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, our rich, fruity & full-bodied new make spirit is transformed into a classic single malt. Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 12 years & is brought together in this rich & complex whisky characterised by spice & dried fruit & a naturally rich golden colour.

The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old forms part of our Triple Cask Matured range; a series of single malt whiskies crafted in a triple cask combination of European & American sherry seasoned oak casks & American ex-bourbon oak casks. This complex combination of oak casks delivers an extraordinarily smooth & delicate character, full of citrus fruits, vanilla & fresh oak.

Colour: Rich straw. Nose: Complex, with hints of vanilla, melon & lemon zest. Palate: Medium balanced with lemon citrus, vanilla & light toasted oak & nutmeg. Finish: Lingering with melon, papaya, fresh oak & oak spice. The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 years old is created from a trinity of spirits, matured individually in European sherry seasoned oak casks, American sherry seasoned oak casks & American ex-bourbon oak casks. Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 12 years
- after which this complex combination of casks is exquisitely & expertly married together to create this vibrant single malt. Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old was previously known as Fine Oak 12 Years Old & offers the same extraordinarily smooth, delicate yet complex character with a new name, new bottle & bold new packaging. The Macallan Fine Oak is triple cask matured in a unique, complex combination of exceptional oak casks; 1. European oak casks seasoned with sherry impart a rich character with hints of dried fruits, spice & chocolate orange. 2. American oak casks seasoned with sherry deliver delicate hints of citrus lemon, coconut & toffee sweetness. 3. American oak casks seasoned with bourbon deliver floral aromas & sweet notes of vanilla & fresh fruits.
