Colour: Ruby colour.
Nose: Elegant & powerful nose, aromas of strawberry jam, & pepper.
Palate: The attack is floral, tannic & spicy.
Serve with all grilled or roast meats. Ox braised, Stew, Civets. Cheese.
Soil: Sandstone & rocky alluvions. This terroir gives great elegance & subtlety. The vineyard is situated between Orange & the Mont Ventoux, on the left bank of the Rhone.
Harvest: Hand harvesting at maturity.
Vinification: This Gigondas is vinified in the traditional way with daily pumping-over.
Maturing: Part of the wine ages in oak casks; the other part in vats.
Bottling after 12 to 16 months of maturing.
