Our Chardonnay Unoaked 2010 is an intense, crisp & vibrant wine with a greenish-yellow colour & a very expressive nose. Flavours of chirimoya & passion fruit highlight its tropical fruit & citrus qualities. Fruit aromas & flavours are intensified by its well defined, refreshing acidity, & complemented by its enjoyable texture, which contributes a persistent finish. 100% Chardonnay. The grapes for our Chardonnay Unoaked 2010 were harvested in the first two weeks of April & then taken to the winery, where 60% were pressed whole cluster to enhance elegance. All the juice was then fermented in stainless steel tanks at 13
- 16°C (55°
- 61°F), & 2% of the final blend was fermented with selected wild yeasts to enhance complexity. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was left in contact with the lees to develop texture on the palate.
