Remy Gresser's 10 hectare domaine is located in the Bas-Rhin, in the village of Andlau, between Strasbourg & Colmar. The area, at the foot of the Mont Saint-Odile, has long been renowned for the quality of its wines. Records show the domaine has existed since 1520, making it one of the oldest in Alsace. Today, Remy, a biodynamic wine grower, continues the family wine making tradition tending to his 35.5 acres with the aim of producing the highest quality wines. Remy believes the most important thing for a winemaker is to love their soil. He is convinced this separates those winemakers who follow profit & market forces, from authentic winemakers who remain faithful to a philosophy of respecting terroir, the environment & nature.
