Drawn from old vines, some planted in 1932. the vineyard plots are feremnted separately with malolactic fermentation taking place in the barrel, then blended & raised for 18 months in new French oak. The wine is dark red, with complex aromas of dark fruit, cherry & toasted oak. Full bodied but approachable, there is a good balance of sweetness & acidity, ripe tannins & rich tones of strawberries, cedar & spices. The wine has an intense, long finish & will improve even more in bottle. Cabernet Sauvignon 75%, Merlot 25%.
