The whisky is a blend of aged single malt casks from Yoichi & Miyagikyo distilleries & showcases an exquisite balance of softness & complexity. Miyagikyo remains prominent but a higher proportion of Yoichi is used in this new edition. The liquid is aged in ex-sherry & Miyagikyo remade casks. The Taketsuru logo, founders signature & brand emblem are all present on the bottle, displaying the authenticity & tradition of this superb whisky.

This is a single malt from the Yoichi distillery, Nikka's first distillery built in 1934. The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotl&, where he learned whisky making.
