It is run by brother & sister team Pierre Jacquart & Chantal Doyard-Jacquart, assisted by Chantal's daughter Marie. Andre Jacquart is world renowned for their brilliance with the Chardonnay grape. The wines made here tend to be elegant, graceful & classic in style. Coulor: A beautiful straw colour & fine bubbles. Nose is fresh with citrus fruits, straw, freshly baked breads combined fine & yeast. The taste is strong & spicy with a pleasant zest & some creaminess. The finale brings out the flavour of peaches with a little buttery taste on the finish. Grape variety:100 % Chardonnay Blend of 80% 2004, 10% 2002, 10% 2000 Terroir: Vertus & Le Mesnil sur Oger (60% Mesnil & 40% Vertus) Alcoholic fermentation happened in barrels & vats. This champagne was aged for 8 months in barrels & vats an got light filtering. No malolactic fermentation: to maintain a maximum of freshness Bottle fermentation followed by ageing for 2 years in the cellar.
