- A 1979 Port Ellen single malt from indie bottler Douglas Laing, bottled in January 2020 as part of its XOP Black series, after four decades in a refill butt. Aromas of peated barley & rich brown sugar burst forward on the nose, complemented by notes of fudge, cinnamon, worn leather, iodine & smoke on the palate.
