Port Ellen 1979 / 35 Year Old / Directors' Cut Islay Whisky
70cl / 51.1% / Douglas Laing - A 1979 vintage Port Ellen from independent bottler Douglas Laing as part of the Directors' Cut series. Distilled in May, it was aged in a refill hogshead for 35 years before 162 bottles were yielded in June 2014 – over 30 years after the distillery sadly closed for good.
