This cintage has benefited from more than two decades maturing in a combination of Spanish & American oak casks. Glenrothes Glenrothes Distillery was established in the narrow valley of the Rothes Burn on the west side of Rothes in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region by James Stuart in 1878. Now one of the largest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland with eighteen washbacks, ten copper stills singing in their own mighty cathedral & a traditional pagoda roof. Glenrothes Distillery is a major contributor to the Cutty Sark & Famous Grouse blends of scotch whiskies. The range of Glenrothes single malt whiskies has increased considerably in recent years. Nose is rich, spicy: ripe, dark, berry fruits. On the palate rich, full flavour: candied orange peel, fruit compote. Very long, medium sweet finnish.
