This single malt is described as an evolution of Macallan's 12 year old whisky, matured in a combination of sherry & bourbon casks. It won Best 11-15 year old Single Malt Scotch of the Year in the Whisky Bible Awards 2012. Rated 95.5/100 by Jim Murray. A beautifully crisp & smooth whisky. Nose: Complex with a hint of fruit & heather honey. Palate: Medium bodied, balanced with fruit, oak & spice. Sherry notes seem to come on first, with the usual sultanas & dried red fruits, Finish: Long & rich, with dried fruit & oak. Gentle notes of baking spices.
