Macallan 18 Year Old 1996 Whisky - 70cl 43%
This is the 1996 edition of Macallan's classic and award-winning sherry cask 18 year old whisky. The spirit was matured exclusively in Jerez sherry casks from Spain, which impart rich flavours of dried fruit, ginger and sweet toffee, producing a wonderfully flavoured single malt whisky. The discontinuation of age statements across most of Macallans range has made the 18 year old an incredibly sought after bottling. Nose: Plenty of crisp citrus, dried fruits and ginger, with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Palate: Rich dried fruits with spice, clove, orange and wood smoke. Stewed apples, cinnamon and deep oak flavours follow. Finish: The finish is full and lingering with dried fruits and sweet toffee.
