This was the last edition of Glenfiddich 30 YO before its 2010 re-launch, & was released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of the distillery's visitor centre in 1969. A rare & elegant example of Glenfiddichs pioneering approach to producing the worlds most exceptional aged single malt Scotch whiskies. Each individual cask is carefully nurtured by the Glenfiddichs Malt Master for three decades before being personally nosed & tasted, to ensure it lives up to his exacting standards & is of outstanding quality. It is then vetted with other casks of equal calibre in small individually numbered batches. This process is intensely time-consuming, but is essential to ensure the unique character & richness of taste that sets Glenfiddich 30 Year Old apart. The rarity of this single malt is unquestionable
