A much awaited & anticipated return of a perfect classic. Nose: A lot of sherry, very typically a smell of Devil's Cask whisky's. Palate: Again lots of sherry, quite fruity & a little pinch of spice Finish: Medium/ long length. Again sherry coming through a lot. Divine. ...

This small batch release of 10 year old Bowmore Devil's Cask was matured in first fill sherry casks. Released in October 2013, all 6000 bottles quickly sold out & remains a highly sought after bottle. The legendary peated spirit combines with luscious sweet sherry for a fantastic dram. Nose: Fairly faint hint of peat. Strong sherry mixed with herbs & medicine. A bit of chocolatey note. Water pushes the peat further into the background (but not out of the picture entirely) & accentuates the cherry cough drop notes. Taste: Very mellow. Sweet & smoke. Finish: Smoky. Herbal cough medicine flavoured with artificial cherry. Smoke & peat are most prominent here. With water the smoke becomes a bit drier. ...
