York 2.8m Large Teak Dining Table.. . SLEEK & BEAUTIFUL … Up to ten people can fit round this large teak dining table comfortably making it perfect for commercial environments or large family homes. made from genuine reclaimed teak with a black wash that highlights the grain beautifully, & offers added protection to the wood. Great indoors & out … Just like all our teak dining tables this is h&-made by expert crafts people & this shines through when you consider the detail. Many tables on the market today are bolted together or mass produced using inferior quality timber in factories meaning the timber is liable to warping / splitting & the joints have a tendency to loosen over time. Not with this dining table … All joints are h&-cut mortice & tenon reinforced with teak dowels to give long-lasting strength even through the rigours of everyday use. The chunky 12cm thick table top is further supported on the underside by teak rivets & the legs are chunkily thick at 11cm thick. Steadfast no matter what it’s used for … The tight knit grain swirls enticingly throughout – a hallmark of A Grade Teak Wood – & the fact it’s reclaimed means it doesn’t add to environmental concerns around deforestation across Indonesia. This also gives it long-lasting beauty & unrivalled resistance to the elements if used outdoors – the oil content is high for low moisture uptake & natural resistance to chemical attack, fire & insects. Genuine reclaimed teak is hand crafted & finished with a black wash that highlights the grain & offers rustic appeal. Great for indoor & outdoor dining … Many more mass produced tables on the market today has joints that are bolted together or uses inferior building methods and/or timber. Not with our York Tables … Mortice & tenon joints are cut by hand & then reinforced with teak dowels join the separate parts together. These are then further reinforced by chunky holding panels bolted to the mainframe to offer long-lasting strength every time. The double reinforced table top is 9.5cm thick & has teak rivets underneath & the legs have a  chunky feel at 10cm sqaure. Totally bespoke – the only thing they all have in common is steadfast quality … The tight knit grain swirls beautifully across the length of the table – a quality only found in the finest Reclaimed Teak – & the fact it is reclaimed means it does its piece for environmental concerns around deforestation overseas.
