The Bataleon Thunder is a brand new board in the Bataleon range for 2021. This is the Wide version of the Bataleon Thunder, that is suitable for riders with boot size UK 10.5 or bigger. Avoid any toe drag by opting for the wider width board. The Thunder features Bataleons Freeride 3BT shape with a narrow centerbase & substantial sidebase uplift with Side Kick in the nose. This gives the Thunder great float in deeper snow but also great edge control & versatility on the piste. The Thunder has a directional twin shape with 10mm setback but the nose & tail is the same width.  As with all Bataleon boards, the Thunder features the 3BT base, also know as Tripple Base Technology. The Bataleon Thunder comes with a dynamic camber profile with the sidebase areas at the widest points of the board lifted up so it's not in contact with the snow. But the lifted base at the edge of the board is only on a 3 degree angle so you don't need to apply much pressure until the board is on an edge & carves amazingly. The boards turn smoother & faster & it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings. In addition to the 3BT, the Thunder also features Sidekick. The Side Kick feature dramatically increases the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose & tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder & handling of the board in rough terrain. The Thunder has more features than just 3BT base, the Thunder also features Dual Super Tubes to make the board lighter, stronger & give it more pop.  Super Tubes are hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core of the board & together with the Carbon stringers, that is placed in the tail & nose of the board, the woodcore’s natural pop is greatly increased.  Add a sintered base & you have got yourself a fast & floaty snowboard that is easy & fun to ride everywhere on the mountain.
