- is a superb variety that holds a RHS Award of Garden Merit that dates back to the 1700s. This is a versatile heritage variety that can be enjoyed when eaten fresh, cooked, juiced or used for homemade cider. The dull, russet-skinned fruits might look less appealing than other modern varieties, with a few lumps & bumps, but rest assured the pale flesh has a delicious pear-drop flavour. It is fair to say this is as delicious as an apple can grow & really stands out in taste tests. Fruits can be harvested in early October & store well until February. M26 Rootstock
