Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Advanced Course Mindfulness is a philosophy & state of mind derived from Buddhist faith, but applicable to both multi-faith & non-faith therapy work. It is being used extensively in private & state provided therapy services as an appropriate way of addressing emotional issues & assisting in the management of long term conditions. This course provides personal reflection & professional techniques using mindfulness, & relates them closely to the National Occupational Standards for Healing. Further core knowledge lessons provide a sound training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, including discussion of the revised Counselling National Occupational Standards. Together mindfulness & CBT have been brought together to form: Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MBCBT). MBCBT is a modern & increasingly popular combined therapy approach which combines well evidenced results, with a deeper philosophical model. This course is recognised for professional membership of the Society for Holistic Therapists & Coaches.
