The map covers the mountain with access from roads to the east & south of it, including the village of Zafferana in the south-eastern corner. Topographic base has contours at 25m intervals with additional graphic relief & names of various lava fields & other geographical features along the slopes. Colouring indicates lava flows since 1971, including the most recent eruptions in 2008/2009.
