Northern Germany on a large, durable, waterproof & tear-resistant road map at 1:700, 000 from Hallwag prominently highlighting locations of 1634 campervan (RV) sites & 548 campsites, all listed in an index with their addresses & GPS coordinates. Coverage extends, roughly, to the Bonn – Chemnitz – Dresden line. The map, published in cooperation with the caravanning specialist Promobil, has campervan sites prominently highlighted in yellow & underling for places with camping sites (indicating the number of campsites if more than one). Hallwag’s presentation of the road network is very clear. Scenic routes are highlighted; toll roads, restricted roads, seasonal opening of mountain passes & steep gradients are marked. The map also shows the railway network, indicating facilities for car transportation by rail. Small symbols mark various places of interest. Topography is indicated by unobtrusive relief shading.
