Edinburgh on a map designed to highlight to the visitors the best viewpoints from the city’s seven hills, both within the town centre & in the outer districts. Accompanying text is in English, German & French. In the centre of the map is an overview street plan of Edinburgh, highlighting the city’s green spaces & indicating which areas are presented on the surrounding four enlargements. Within the city’s historic centre an enlargement covers the area between the Castle Rock, Arthur’s Seat & Calton Hiill, including the Royal Mile & Princes Street Gardens. Three more panels show hills in the outer districts: the Craiglockhart Hill, the Blackford & Braid Hills, & the Corstorphine Hill. All the enlargements have contours at 25m intervals to indicate the topography & show local footpaths. Given Edinburgh’s unique topography, this is a very useful map for all the visitors to Scotland’s capital. To see the other titles in this series please click on the series link.
