Bavarian Alps on waterproof & tear-resistant, contoured & GPS-compatible maps at 1:35, 000 from Kompass presented in a ring-binder atlas & highlighting hiking paths, a selection of cycle/mountain biking/ski/horse riding trails, various accommodation options, etc. Each removable sheet is double-sided & 30.5x 26cm when opened. The binder comes with a map case & a lanyard. Coverage extends from Munich south to Garmisch Partenkirchen & Zugspitze, & from west of Füssen to the Berchtesgaden Alps & Salzburg. Topography is vividly presented by contours at 40m intervals, enhanced by shading & graphic relief for exposed rock, plus spot heights & colouring and/or graphics for different types of the terrain & vegetation (glaciers, swamps, heath, woodlands, etc). Extensive overprint highlights hiking paths, indicating special nature or themed trails & Nordic Walking routes, as well as more difficult steep sections.
