D-Day Landing Beaches in Normandy in a series of Major & Mrs Holt’s Battle Maps from T V Holt Associates covering the main battlefields of the two World Wars. Present day road network is overprinted with extensive information about the landings. On one side is a map showing the beaches attacked by forces under the British command: Gold June, Sword & area of airborne landings east of the Orne & the Pegasus Bridge. An inset extends the coverage further inland to present the Battle of the Falaise Gap. On the reverse are the landing sites of the American forces on the Utah & Omaha beaches, extending south to St-Lo with an additional inset for the Cherbourg area.
