Lake District Walking Map is a topographic map of central Lakeland at 1:63, 360 (1 inch to 1 mile).
Includes:: footpaths & public rights of way, in addition to other information suitable to walkers & tourists. The map uses bold relief shading, spot heights (in feet) & contour lines (at intervals of 250 feet) to show the terrain. Individual fells (hills & mountains) are named. The main lakes, tarns, rivers & becks are marked. For walking & hiking, tracks & footpaths are shown, with additional indication of public rights of way. For access, motorways, main, secondary & minor roads are displayed lightly, as are railway lines & stations. The boundaries of the Lake District National Park & smaller forest parks are shown clearly. For planning walks & tours, youth hostels, information centres, information points & historic sites are shown.
Includes: most of the Lake District national Park, excluding the far north (north of Skiddaw) & the far south (south of Windermere).
