Topography is vividly presented by contours at 20m intervals, enhanced by bold shading & graphic relief, plus colouring and/or graphics to show forests & other types of vegetation. Extensive tourist overprint highlights local & long-distance footpaths & cycle routes
- including King Ludwig Way, different variants of the Way of St James, etc
- indicating, where appropriate, their waymarking designation. It shows settlements, houses, roads, cultivated areas, waterways, cutting areas, mires, rock exposures, & relief. One map sheet covers an area of 30 x 40 km & one centimetre corresponds to 500 metres on the ground. The 1:50, 000 topographic map is also an ideal complement to nautical charts as it provides useful information about the land areas adjacent to waterways. Kaunas at 1:25, 000 on an indexed street plan from Jana Seta, covering the city with its outer suburbs, plus an enlargement showing in greater detail its city centre. Bus & trolleybus routes are shown with line numbers. For drivers principal traffic arteries are highlighted, one way streets are marked, as are locations of petrol stations & car parks. An enlargement shows the city centre in greater detail.
