Michelin’s street plan of Amsterdam is primarily designed to be used for access to & travel across the city by car, given its wide coverage of the outer suburbs & detailed presentation of the surrounding motorway network. This very large, double-sided map covers Amsterdam within its motorway ring & extends beyond it: south to the A9 motorway, east to the A9/A5 junction & north to include most of Zaandam & Landsmeer; coverage of the southern & eastern suburbs

Includes::
Schiphol Airport, Amstelveen, Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, Amsterdam-Zuidoost & Diemen. Road network is shown with the usual care associated with Michelin’s road maps: detailed layout of motorway junctions, dual carriageways, tunnels or underpasses & flyovers, bascule (lever) bridges, etc. Main traffic arteries are highlighted, car ferry routes across the IJ are shown, & locations of car parks are marked. Curiously, although included in the map legend, one way streets are not actually marked on the plan itself. The plan shows rail & metro lines with names of stations, with an additional diagram of the metro network included in the accompanying index booklet. Public buildings & facilities such as museums, theatres, historical monuments, churches, etc. are highlighted. The map does not include a separate enlargement for Amsterdam’s historic centre, the area explored by most of the city’s visitors. Although clearly drawn, this part is shown at relatively smaller scale compared with more tourist-oriented plans of the city. Many smaller streets & passages are annotated only with numbers, with their names shown on lists tucked into the neighbouring parts of the plan. Map legend

Includes::
English. The index, in a separate booklet attached to the map cover, is arranged by location, with streets in the outer suburbs listed separately. To see the list of titles in this series please click on the series link.
