Swati Varma is one of modern Delhi's more bleesed inhabitants. Then on brilliant morning when the world seemed cleansed by the coming of the rains, the unthinkable happens: his pregnant wife is killed in a road accident. Devastated, Swati makes a pilgrimage back to the land of his forebears, Panayur, in the state of Kerala, to scatter his beloved's ashes in the sacred waters of the Papanasini river.

Returning to this long-forgotten world, he is reunited with a childhood companion who now cares for the crumbling, ghost-filled palace that was his home. For Panayur
- seemingly still free from the religious turmoil that threatens so much of the country
- was once a kingdom, & Swati is the direct descendant of the its last king. As two friends talk, share memories & exchagne secrets, thousands of miles away, Vel
- a cousin Swati never kew he had
- sets out on a quest for the truth about his family that will take him from America, to Berlin &, ultimately, to Panayur.

And so begins an extraordinary & healing journey. One that will lead both Swati & Vel back through the cruel, vibrant, myth-filled history of the kings of Panayur to the legend that lies at its heart
- the legend of the tiger by the river...

Molly Mc Intyre was born in St Thomas's, London in 1984 with an abnormality in the formation of her muscles. Her condition was never fully diagnosed. Her mother, Lesley, a photographer, was told that Molly would probably never leave hospital & that she might not survive more than a few weeks. Lesley took Molly home & she lived for fourteen years. Molly died at home in Putney.

Throughout her brief life Molly was highly active. She travelled in Europe & America. She went to a state school in Lambeth. She joined a dance class in Covent Garden & lived every day to the full with the complete knowledge that her time was limited. Her mother photographed her constantly. The Time of Her Life opens with the first picture of Molly as a baby & ends with the last picture of her on her deathbed.

The pictures are interspersed with some of Molly's own written observations. Molly's energy & attitude is inspirational & the accomplishment of her mother, Lesley, probably has no published precedent.
